Many of these are landscapes, cityscapes and seascapes of California, in an expressionist style heightened by extensive use of color. These works include oil paintings looking northward from pasadena toward the San Gabriel Mountains, looking southward toward the building of Los Angeles, the network of freeways shadowing the cityscape of Los Angeles, the Coast of California in brilliant color, San Francisco Bay from Marin and Berkeley, landscapes of marshes and fields, the trees of California, and various pastels, watercolors, graphics and drawings.
